Busking history


In 2007 I started collecting for British Heart Foundation, busking in the town centre in St Albans, sometimes on guitar and other times on sax. I have also had some help from musicians who go along to the monthly jazz jam at the Portland Arms and these "jazz busker" sessions have been a great success. Other times I have joined John Breeze in supporting Leukemia Busters. Most Saturday afternoons and some Sundays there is a busk in French Row or by the clock tower. Check out Simmons bakers for drinks and buns with tables and chairs outside to watch the world go by and hear live music for free.

On the right is a pic taken in July at the clock tower with John Kitchin ably assisting on guitar in a jazz busk; it was hot! To the left is a pic of a folk busk with John Breeze; Christine joined us for a song or two.
